Doon Where The Glennie Burns

Doon Where The Glennie Burns” is Alex Hodgson’s third album
for Greentrax Recordings, the first being “Jeelie Jars and Coalie
Backies” (CDTRAX351) and the second being “The Brig Tae Nae
Where” (CDTRAX382). They both received fabulous reviews and
attention globally, whilst also making their way into The Queen’s
own music collection.

Doon Where the Glennie Burns invites listeners on a poignant
journey to celebrate the enduring spirit of the coal miner’s who once
stood proud alongside his dad. As the songs unfurl and begin to paint
their picture you realise there is another who Alex Hodgson has found
inspiration from and paid homage to within his latest recording and
that is Robert Burns.
