This is a gem from the very talented Jack Evans who was a member of several bands, including the legendary Jock Tamson’s Bairns.
Jack is a multi-instrumentalist and a clever arranger and producer (several albums for Greentrax).
It was Jack who produced the Keltik Elektrik series of recordings, including the big-selling Edinburgh Hogmanay Party Mix and two albums in the Greentrax Celtic Collections series - plus more. A very talented man.
On this album he joins forces with Mairi Campbell (vocals, fiddle, viola) and Jenny Gardner (fiddle), while Jack plays guitar, whistle, mandolin, stylophone and percussion.
There are several outstanding tracks on this album but watch out for the Walk Right In Set, Early Mornin’ Train and The Lass of Glenshee.
